Are you a Korean buffet lover, but don’t have the financial ability to travel all the way to Korea to give a taste of authentic Korean buffet that you’ve seen in Korean dramas? Fret not! As Korean culture is spreading all over Singapore, it is no wonder you can find Korean restaurants anywhere in the country. Thus, compiled here is a list of the 3 best Korean buffet restaurants in Singapore that you should visit now!

1. Dookki Singapore – Korean Tteokbokki Buffet

Korean Tteokbokki BuffetDookki refers to “Two Meals” in Korean. Currently, it has over 100 stores worldwide and officially launched its Singapore branch at Suntec City in March 2017.

The first meal comes with the restaurant’s authentic Korean Tteokbokki (also known as stir-fried rice cake) dish that can be cooked to your preferred level of spiciness by mixing with different sauces. There are eight types of rice cake that can be chosen, and the best part is that you can customise your steamboat by adding your favourite ingredients.

Continuing to the second meal is by adding rice, seaweed, sweetcorn, kimchi and sesame oil to whip up your own Kimchi Fried Rice. To ensure that you experience the most authentic taste from Korea, there is a wide selection of Korean fish cakes, fried food, vegetables and even ramen!

Personally, I had visited the restaurant once, and I would say that I definitely recommend you to try! Not only it’s affordable for a buffet, but also for cheese lovers like me, the restaurant offered a Double Cheese Ring to pair up with my steamboat, which was absolutely brilliant as it gave the ingredients a more flavourful and buttery taste.

Price: $18.80++ (Adult), $10.80++ (Child), $9.80++ (Double Cheese Ring Add-On)

2. GoroGoro Steamboat & Korean Buffet

Korean Steamboat BuffetThe restaurant is like a heaven for any steamboat lovers! It caters to different taste preferences by having seven different choices of broth such as Ginseng Chicken, Mala, Tom Yam, Tomato, Korean Seaweed, Beauty Collagen and Bakuteh, so people who can’t handle the spice can also try. However, do keep in mind that each table allows only three different broths.

There are up to fifty choices of fresh and juicy meats, vegetables, drinks and Korean delicacies for a weekday lunch and over seventy choices, including seafood for a weekday dinner and weekend dining.

Personally, I loved the Mala and Tom Yam broths the most as I’m someone who can’t survive without eating spicy food a day. The broths were rich and scrumptious. However, I would have to say that the Mala broth was too oily to my liking. As for the Tom Yam broth, it was just right, not too spicy.

What I liked about the restaurant were its spacious environment and good service. The broths were promptly refilled without charging extra which was a plus point. It’s a restaurant that you definitely wouldn’t want to miss out on!

Personally, I visited the restaurant quite a number of times, and I must say that it is one of the few restaurants that got me to keep going back for more. The buffet was affordable which is suitable for family gatherings.

My personal favourite would be the meats, especially the beef ribs that were well-marinated, tender and meaty. The restaurant definitely is worth the visit because it is actually run by the Koreans from the start!
